Job Description
- Oversee and maintain tool and material inventories, including checking tools and equipment in/out for projects.
- Reorder tools and materials as required to maintain inventory levels.
- Superior organizational skills to organize and maintain yard/tools/materials.
- Identify the best approach to accomplish specified work.
- Utilize HCSS Dispatcher to track tools and maintain inventories.
- Maintain good communication between peers and shop manager.
- Load/unload customers and vendors within a timely manner.
- Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, trucks, and other company equipment (willing to train)
- Ensure project needs and equipment requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Unload and process materials and equipment deliveries. Distribute notifications to project teams when materials and equipment arrive or load is ready to be sent to a project.
- Establish daily priorities and set levels of expectations.
- Maintain company safety standards and enforce safety regulations.
- Inspect and maintain small tools- be proactive about keeping tools in a work ready condition.
- Perform damage assessment on tools and equipment returned to yard and assist shop manager with repair of damaged equipment if needed.
- Cleaning and servicing of small air tools, small electric tools, and bulk rental items.
- Drive company vehicles to construction sites as needed and pick up parts from vendors.
- Cleaning warehouse and Yard by sweeping shop floors, rearranging equipment, or using a pressure washer/sweeper.
- Using a pressure washer to clean equipment
- Follow all company Operational Procedures and QC Standards
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the operations manager and shop manager
- CDL Delivery and driving work as needed.
- High School Diploma
- Background in construction
- Must be able to pass background and drug test
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record required
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Must be qualified forklift operator or willing to learn.
- Must be able to perform the physical duties of the job (lifting of 50 pounds frequently)
- Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
- Willing and able to work in inclement weather
- Overall positive attitude
- Entry level Microsoft office skills – ie excel, word, outlook
- Previous experience with small tool repair and maintenance is preferred.
