We are hiring immediately for a Maintenance Planner on our Maintenance & Reliability Team at our Caseyville Prepared Foods plant.
We are currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with a $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines.
With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion, the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products, and the expansion will further develop our capabilities.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working with the Maintenance Manager and staff to create and issue work orders; plan and schedule daily work for up to 20 maintenance techs; create and maintain effective and proactive preventive and predictive maintenance programs; monitor maintenance inventory; procure maintenance parts and supplies; manage the SAP system ensuring accurate and current data is within the system; collaborate with the parts room team to keep the Maintenance Manager apprised of critical inventory concerns before they become an issue; maintain and develop vendor relationships while searching out cost saving measures; provide overall administrative support to the maintenance team; quickly assess problems to minimize downtime; Must have knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures along with GMP practices to assist all employees in the understanding and necessity to follow company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Minimum of a high school or GED diploma.
- Experience: Three (3) years industrial maintenance experience in a production environment; or an associate degree in industrial maintenance discipline and one (1) year industrial maintenance experience in a production environment. Must have knowledge of GMP practices and SQF Quality Management policies and procedures.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SAP preferred or ability to learn in short period of time.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills are an absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability to work independently.
- Travel: 2-3 weeks of travel is required per year.
