ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces; change burned out light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in guest rooms, convention area, and/or public areas.
- Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, guest rooms, convention areas and public areas.
- Repair irrigation and sprinkler systems.
- Maintain pool and pool area.
- Keep adequate parts, material, and supplies on the supply cart.
- Inform supervisory personnel on job status and project status.
- Communicate parts and material needs to appropriate supervisory personnel in a timely manner.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Report on all unsafe working conditions.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
- Supervisory of the maintenance department is an essential function of this position including training and scheduling.
- May supervise housepersons.
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
- Constantly standing/walking on stairs, tile, and rubber mats covering tiles, linoleum, concrete, padded carpet, marble, gravel, etc.
- Constant repetitive motions of stooping (bending at the waist), twisting (knees, waist, and neck), crouching (bending at the knees), and reaching (overhead/extension).
- Frequent climbing of ladders, steps, stools, etc.
- Frequently lifting/carrying equipment and supplies weighing average of 5 - 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lifting/carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently pushing/pulling of equipment carts, equipment, and supplies weighing average of 5 - 100 lbs.
- Occasionally pushing/pulling equipment carts, equipment, or supplies up to 150 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, liquid chlorine, refrigeration gases, chillers, pump, etc.
- Constant operation of power tools, electric motors.
- Compressors, generators, power sweepers, company vehicle.
- Must adhere to the company's safety standards and procedures. Safety guards, short sleeve shirts, steel toed boots/footwear, safety goggles, ear plugs, gloves, inhalation devise, aprons, using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain security of work area and equipment while maintaining the level of safety required and exhibited by the hotel and OSHA requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of 2 -5 years preferred in commercial or institutional maintenance environment.
- Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
- HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
- Certification in pool operation preferred.
- Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
- May need a valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
- Must pass criminal background check.
