Director of Facilities and Maintenance Services2023-2024 School Year The Rogue River School District, a K through 12th grade school district located in beautiful Southern Oregon, is seeking a Director of Facilities and Maintenance Services. The District is approximately 250 square miles with nearly 870 students attending three schools. The Director will be responsible for organizing, administering, and leading a comprehensive program of maintenance and custodial services that provide and maintain the facilities, grounds, equipment, furnishings, and safety of the district.

The Director will be asked to do these tasks in an efficient and economical manner with an eye towards preserving and improving facilities for years to come. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred experience supervising grounds, construction, facility operations and/or maintenance staff.Preferred successful experience supervising personnel.Experience managing contractors and/or sizable projects is desired.Excellent facilitator with the ability to motivate, direct, and train people.Candidates must be able to collaborate and interact with others effectively.Basic knowledge of building codes and construction and architecture terminology.Must possess strong organizational skills.Hands-on knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a variety of tools, machinery, and power equipment used in performing essential functions.Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, invoices, forms, and governmental regulations.Ability to acquire required environmental certifications.Strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
