Job Description
HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Manager in the food/beverage industry in Rockford, IL!
Salary: $100k-$120k/yr + 10% bonus
Shift: 1st shift
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds
- Manage employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management
- Experience required with HVAC, Electrical (motor control circuitry up to 480V 3-phase), Boilers, etc.
- Administer maintenance and capital projects for the site
- Utilize CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance
- Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators for overall equipment effectiveness
- Stay informed of the latest industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards in capital project implementation and daily maintenance
- Comply with Company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or some college preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance supervision within a food manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge/exposure to food manufacturing equipment (e.g., filling machines, blow mold machines)
- Strongly desired PLC experience, particularly with Allen Bradley platforms; programming is a plus
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is desired
- Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining methods a plus
- Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience with maintenance technicians required
- Experience with CMMS required; MVP JDE experience a plus
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Union, Safety, and Workers Compensation experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other computer-based applications
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; capable of leading others through change
