• Provides direction/assistance on emergency/unscheduled repairs of plastic injection machines, hydraulic, and electric plastic and rubber presses.
• Responsible for all facets of Safety; including trainings as designated
• Schedules priorities for department
• Manages and coaches employees in maintenance.
• Works with vendors on an as needed basis.
• Ensures/Oversees ordering of MRO type parts.
• Ensures machines and equipment are in proper working order by performing preventive maintenance.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Responsible for performance metrics for overall maintenance activity on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Works well with all peers and support groups on an as needed basis.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs building repairs and improvements.
• Assist/perform programing and editing of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Maintains a clean safe work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned when maintenance needs dictate changes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associate/Bachelors Engineering degree, advanced electrical and/or mechanical education, strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive maintenance responsibilities in a similar environment.
• Strong communication abilities including written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Possesses an understanding of all MS Office Applications including Word and Excel, and internet/emailing capabilities.
• Thorough understating of injection molding machines, hydraulic and electric presses desired.
• Strong electrical background (Including PLC's)
• Must be able to interpret blueprint readings.
• Must possess an ability to interpret technical manuals for various different equipment.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must be forklift and lock out - tag out certified
• Must possess an ability to troubleshoot and repair company machines and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
• Required lifting up to 75 lbs during shift.
• Able to stand for an 8-hour (or more) shift.
• Able to handle frequent twisting and bending.
• Good eyesight for visual inspection.
• Must be able to drive between various company locations.
Work Environment:
• Exposure to moderate noise levels during heavy production periods.
• May be exposed to high temperature during summer months
