JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Engineerin Greenville, SC. Our client is a chemical manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Engineeris responsible for performing and supervising the maintenance and/or repair of production, pneumatic and electrical equipment, to include installation.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineerincludes:
Maintain the facilities maintenance schedule and procedures.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and procedures to ensure that equipment is maintained efficiently and effectively.
Maintain equipment and maintenance supplies to ensure safe operation of the facility.
Managing stock of supplies and equipment
Review daily work orders and provide direction to maintenance team with follow up reports
Review all documentation to ensure proper data collection.
Prepare maintenance reports and keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to track and report maintenance activities
Supervise contractors
Lead, train, and supervise maintenance workers.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Communicate with other departments to coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Respond to emergencies
Will need to be on call, particularly where manufacturing equipment is in continual operation on the 2nd, 3rd shifts and weekend/holidays
An ability to work well under pressure
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent technical skills and knowledge

Teamworking skills

Job Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer:
Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering.
Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces.
