Position: Maintenance Assistant
Department: PARCS - Community Services
Salary: $21.82 - 25.26
Non - Exempt – Overtime Eligible
The Community Services Division, under the general supervision of the Community Services Coordinator, is seeking candidates to be responsible for basic repairs, building inspections, and maintenance of various locations such as, the City’s Community Homes, Community Center, and other City facilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- None
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs minor repairs, to include minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
- Enters crawl spaces, using ladders, inspecting roofs, climbing high surface areas
- Maintains office equipment and furniture
- Assists with community home inspections, and maintains repair logs for preventative maintenance reports
- Ability to perform basic drywall, painting, and patching
- Cleans park facilities/Community Homes/Community Center
- Assist with minor weeding and basic external landscaping
- Moves equipment by using hands, trucks, and other tools
- Maintains reports pertaining to repairs and cleaning schedules
- Performs other related duties as assigned
