Job Title:Maintenance Assistant
Yosemite Church is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, janitorial, and porter tasks to ensure our facilities operate smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and unclogging drains.
- Assist with major repairs, such as replacing plumbing fixtures and repairing electrical systems, etc.
- Prepares rooms and handles set-ups/breakdowns for ministry events.
- Paint and perform other cosmetic maintenance
tasks.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Secures storage areas and orders and maintains adequate supplies for restrooms and facilities.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
- Maintain/clean buildings, landscaping, and grounds.
- Report any equipment or building-related issues to the supervisor.
- Uses Protective equipment when needed.
- All other tasks are assigned by the supervisor/leadership.
Education/Experience Desired:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role or equivalent
- 1-2 years minimum of janitorial and maintenance-related experience.
- Valid Driver’s license for operation of a Golf cart and Lawn equipment on campus.
Competencies Desired:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- General knowledge of hand tools and lawn equipment.
- Computer/internet application skills
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Able to work various shifts as assigned.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
