The Maintenance Aide (Seasonal) reporting location is Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area (SRA), located at 14651 Cedar Circle, Hesperia CA 92345. The Maintenance Aide works under the immediate supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief I and under the direction of the on-duty Maintenance Lead Worker.
The Inland Empire District consists of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, Chino Hills State Park, California Citrus State Historic Park, Mount San Jacinto State Park, Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, Providence Mountain State Park, San Timoteo Canyon State Park, and Wildwood Canyon State Park. All parks listed are managed by a State Park Superintendent V and further organized into the following functions: Visitor Services, Aquatic Services, Maintenance Services, and Administrative Services.
Join a great team and boost your resume by working as a seasonal Maintenance Aide at Silverwood Lake SRA. This position is part of a team that provides maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping service at Silverwood Lake SRA. Duties include but are not limited to litter picking, trash removal, cleaning and maintaining restrooms and other facilities, maintaining campsites, day use, and boat-in areas. The position will also include training in and performing repairs to facilities and assisting permanent staff with plumbing, carpentry, masonry, landscaping, and electrical work. Position may also operate light vehicles (gators, pick-up truck, cars), hand tools, and light equipment.
Due to a heavy visitor attendance, the Maintenance Aide position is required to work weekends and holidays. The work shift for the Maintenance Aide is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with days off set after Maintenance Aide is hired.
This position is subject to live scan fingerprint clearance. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position is intermittent and may work up to 189 days in a 12-month period.
This position requires a valid California Class C Driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
