Job Summary:
The Mail Clerk supports the claims department through central processing of mail. (Opening, scanning, indexing, outgoing)
Responsibilities:
- Opening and scanning of daily claims mail by program/state.
- Indexing of mail, emails, and faxes.
- Preparation and metering of outgoing mail by sort/bulk/special handling.
- Provide coverage for all deliveries.
- Mail pick-up and drop-off within the claims department.
- Manages documents and recorded media and transfers media to document management system.
- Prepares bulk mailing/notices to policyholders/agents.
- Manages mailing of manual letters for the adjusting team, that may include proof of service.
- The Mail Clerk II provides back-up coverage for the Customer Care call queue.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
