Jacobs is seeking a Mail Center Supervisor to join our collaborative team in Torrance, CA ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted. As the Mail Center Supervisor, you'll be responsible for effective supervision, administration, and control of the business functions at the client's site based in Torrance, CA. This person will oversee the timely and effective resolution of all services contracted by the client while exhibiting exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Supervises & oversees all services contracted by client by providing exceptional customer service & quality.
Evaluates and resolves high priority and complex problems through communication and negotiation with clients, vendors, and internal professionals in support of a proactive, responsive and friendly customer environment.
Manages budget, resource allocation, and forecasting tools to ensure best possible use of resources and to plan and budgetary expenses effectively.
Manages status reports, productivity reports, and other source documents to ensure optimal performance is met by all staff.
Interface with the client, operations team, and corporate departments as necessary.
Manages staff by developing mentoring staff, handle corrective actions as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with Company policy; evaluating performance; providing training and development opportunities; coach and counsel staff.
Functions as a liaison between the client & Jacobs.
Ensures proper maintenance and usage of all equipment and supplies.
Conducts staff meetings to ensure communication of corporate policies and goals.
Ensures and analyzes production targets onsite are met daily, weekly, and monthly by measuring against Company goals.
Ensure that all incoming and outgoing mail is processed on time and accurately, from sorting to delivery.
Provides customer service to the client associates for business and personal mail and resolving issues related to lost or damaged packages.
Functions as subject matter expert by providing recommendations to reduce shipping costs, collect and report mail volumes and trends, and maintain department supplies and inventory.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

4 years of supervisory experience in a Mailroom or Office Services environment
Experience managing at least 4 non-exempt employees
Experience advanced use of office equipment (scanning, photocopying, printing, etc.)
Experience managing staff payroll, scheduling, training and counseling
Strong computer proficiency
Communicate effectively with diverse groups and clients
Ability to execute and deliver the highest quality and production and customer service
Experience creating a customer focused environment
Exhibit to establish personal credibility with customers and staff
Must have excellent follow through skills
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Associates Degree preferred or comparable work experience
Physical Demands:
Occasionally lifting and/or moving of up to 50 lbs.
