Job description

Franchise Tax Board's (FTB) Business Services Unit is looking for an organized, highly engaged, and customer centric leader to join our team. This complex unit is responsible for FTB's outgoing mail operations, messenger services, fleet, FedEx shipping, and postal liaison. The Mail Operations Unit histoically processes 20-22 Million outgoing notices.
Under the general direction of the Administrator 11, the incumbent is responsible for the overall management of the Mail Distribution and Fleet Operations Center in the Business Services Unit. Duties include strategizing with supervisor and managers to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness in the delivery of mail, messenger, fleet and other services critical to the department. In addition, the incumbent will have oversight of Business Services budget documents including baseline development, workload analysis, and legislation costing.
This position requires 3 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need.
