CNC Machinist (Lathe and Mill) NEEDED on 2nd Shift!
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus, Competitive pay, Travel allowance available
Schedule: Night Shift (5:00 PM – 3:30 AM, Mon-Thur)
*Night shift includes a 15% premium, 4-10 schedule with overtime opportunities
MIC Group has an immediate need for highly skilled professional machinists who have the ability to work from customer drawings and specifications, while adhering to MIC Group work instructions, to manufacture parts and assemblies that meet all dimensional & quality requirements. We are looking for team members who constantly strive to improve their own skills and techniques, to increase productivity & maintain high quality levels.
Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout & machining procedures are essential, as well as the ability to follow all safety regulations, and maintain clean work areas and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES
- Measure and examine completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Lay-out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
- Maintain proper coolant levels and mixture
- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter
Job Skill Requirements
- Expert in all aspects of CNC Machining Center machining
- Must demonstrate a good working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate both Vertical and Horizontal CNC Machining Centers
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with programming and engineering staff to setup and prove out new programs and tooling
- Must demonstrate the ability to hold precision tolerances at exemplary production and quality levels
- Must be capable of coaching and training new team members
Education/Experience/Skills
- High School Graduate or GED
- Must have successfully met and demonstrated for a minimum of five (5) years all points of a Class B CNC Machinist or above.

Certifications and Registrations include: ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, ITAR, and IPC-610.
