This position is a member of the STEM team which is a dynamic and service-oriented group that supports and partners with faculty and students to meet their teaching, learning and research needs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates series of workshops and events primarily related to STEM library services and research data services. This includes coordinating Graduate Skill Workshop (QEP) for STEM Librarians.
  • Collaborates with other workshop coordinators in maintaining master schedules, registration pages, and assessment instruments.
  • Creates pre and post workshop surveys, collects and analyzes data from surveys.
  • Ensures relevant workshop materials are created and distributed.
  • Collaborates with Marketing & Communication team in addition to other stakeholders across the libraries to create outreach materials and communications to STEM faculty. This includes newsletters, announcements, and other methods to make students and faculty more aware of STEM library services.
  • Updating libraries' website and Canvas.
  • Creates workflow procedures and policy documents related to workshops and reporting statistics.
  • Designs, implements, and conducts assessment studies to measure impact of STEM and data library services.
  • Prepares reports, dashboards, and other materials to communicate findings of studies.
  • Serves as a liaison to various Libraries committees, departments, and working groups including: Marketing & Communication, Student Engagement, and Website Content and Communications as well as internal and external committees as appropriate.
  • Assists with the creation of LibGuides, updating STEM library related information material, Canvas Modules, and other instructional support resources.
  • Assists STEM Librarians and graduate assistants with grant processes, curating grant opportunities, coordination with the Libraries' Grant Specialist, tracking deadlines, and assisting with communication and grant reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of data collection.
  • Knowledge of the policies and practices of library services.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Anticipated Salary Range

Starting salary of $40,039, commensurate with education and experience.
