Machinist Job Description
Pay:
$17-$22 DOE
Shift:
6a-6p M-F
Responsibilities:
- Operating manual lathes, small and large (40”) chuck.
- Operate milling machine, drill press and cut off saw band.
- Some welding experience a plus.
- Some assembly and disassembly required.
- Maintain maintenance of all machinery.
- Ability to work independently and follow direction.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- Strong organizational and housekeeping skills.
Qualifications/Education:
- Seeking a machinist with at least 3 – 5 years’ of manual machining experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers and micrometers, including metric measurements.
- Good mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience with good working knowledge and experience with powered hand tools.
- Experience using fork lift and overhead cranes desired.
- Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. and work up to 12 hour shifts.
- Ability to train for operation of all machines.
