Job Description

The Machine Maintenance Lead will have overall responsibility for the maintenance of all production equipment and janitorial services at Conxall. This position reports directly to the Facilities/Molding Manager and has one janitorial assistant as a direct report. The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for coordinating all maintenance work, ordering repair and replacement parts, recommending manufacturer’s maintenance services for complex equipment problems, and ensuring the ongoing janitorial activities are met.

 

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

 

$30/hour

 

Specific job activities include:

• Maintenance and repair of all production equipment including, but not limited to, injection molding machines, wire strippers, contact crimpers, pneumatic presses, chillers, compressors, pallet jacks, and forklift equipment. Where necessary, recommend third party maintenance and repair for equipment for which Conxall does not have expertise.
• Work with janitorial staff to identify, repair and coordinate services for plumbing and/or drainage problems.
• Work with purchasing department to make purchase requests, get proper authorizations, and acknowledge receipt of repair items.
• Communicate daily with production teams to identify and prioritize maintenance activities to meet production goals.
• Assist Facilities Manager with performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Install, maintain, enforce and train employees on the proper use of a Lockout/Tagout maintenance safety program.
• Work with Facilities Manager to review and improve safety standards for the maintenance and janitorial activities in the plant.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in maintenance department of a manufacturing facility required. Maintenance experience with injection molding machines preferred.
• Ability to read vendor equipment blueprints and electrical diagrams. Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Knowledge of toolroom equipment (grinding, lathe, mill, CNC milling, EDM) preferred.
• Electrical wiring and distribution knowledge preferred, Certified electrician preferred.
