Maintenance Lead Technician (2Nd Shift)

Job Title: Maintenance Lead Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m.
Duties/Responsibilities: This Maintenance Lead will provide back-up technical support for maintenance manager and production.

• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
• Assists with organizing and coordinating various sections of engineering.
• Assists with plans and establishes engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates.
• Recommends process specification and design standards.
• May supervise development of material selection standards.
• Schedules activities to observe priority of interest.
• Trains staff and evaluates employee performance.
• Reviews and evaluates results of tests.
• Assists with investigation of customer complaints at direction of management officials
• Prepares reports on progress and recommends the addition, expansion or discontinuance of projects.
• Does all other duties as assigned including line set-up.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

• A combination of over four years of directly related training and/or experience is typically required for carrying out the responsibilities for this job.
• High School Diploma or Trade School Certificate with a minimum of six months of related mechanical/electrical experience preferred
• Must be familiar with the general industrial equipment
• Ability to make quick, accurate repairs to machinery and/or work with an outside contractor as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings, schemes and procedure manuals
