Lead Building Maintenance Technician

A family-owned company,designs, manufactures, and develops high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles since 1986. We areseeking a LeadBuilding Maintenance Techto support our three manufacturing facilities in Wheeling. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Lead Building Maintenance Technician will delegate responsibilities and projects to Building Maintenance, Landscaping, and Custodial teams.

LeadBuilding Maintenance TechResponsibilities Include:

• Snow removal from parking lots and walkways
• Maintain grounds keeping equipment such as mowers, blowers, trimmers, weed whackers, blowers, snow plows etc.
• Seasonal grounds cleanup such as accumulated fall and winter debris from turf and plant beds, tree ring edging, shoveling and salting sidewalks and parking lots
• Inspect and replace and office/shop lighting and ballasts
• Inspect, maintain outside building lights and its control mechanism
• Inspect and replace emergency lighting and exit signs
• Repair/paint walls and tiles as needed
• Light plumbing work such as repair minor leaks, replace faucets, unclog drains and toilets, install air lines

LeadBuilding Maintenance Tech Requirements:

• 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience
• 1+ year of leadership experience
• Ability to be on-call during off hours
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good client/customer service skills
• Ability to communicate concerns and hazards in a timely fashion to a diverse audience
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Be trained in proper Lock Out Tag Out procedure
