Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functionality of machinery and equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production processes.
- Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on various production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in machinery and systems, implementing effective repairs promptly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to determine proper maintenance procedures.
- Execute major equipment overhauls, ensuring thorough testing after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime.
- Operate general machinery and tools, including saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and completed preventive measures.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions to production schedules during maintenance activities.
- Interact with and maintain records in accordance with Maintenance Management System requirements, utilizing computer systems for communication and documentation.
- Adhere to quality assurance, GMPs, safety protocols, and company procedures, ensuring compliance with government codes and regulations.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, including equipment and tool maintenance, floor cleaning, and trash removal.
- Assist in escorting contractors during scheduled visits to the facility.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in industrial and manufacturing machinery, or 5 years of experience.
- Experience in at least two of the following skills: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work activities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
