The Weld RE-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has an open position for a long-term High School Language Arts substitute.
Position Summary:
The person selected for this position is responsible for teaching High School (grades 9-12) Language Arts from approximately January 22, 2024 to March 8, 2024. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well stamina to be on feet and active for full work days.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements: Minimum of a substitute teaching license from the Colorado Department of Education. Candidates with strong English/Language Arts backgrounds are preferred.
Salary and Benefits: The substitute rate is $132 per day. The district offers substitutes leave at the rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA). Substitutes are enrolled in a PERA retirement plan and have the an option to enroll in a supplemental 401(k) plan.

- Implementing curriculum and instructions that align to the Colorado Academic Standards
- Monitor and evaluate student progress
- Prepare educational records and reports
- Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth
- Teach extended learning opportunity intervention & mini-courses
- Exceptional technology skills necessary
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal
