Job description

We are searching for a Logistics Planner I - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist departments in developing project delivery design and execution methodologies related to small to medium in-house moves and relocations. Works with vendors and department contacts to ensure all aspects of reconfiguration requests are met. Also ensures vendor compliance and oversight of related budgets and purchase requisitions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Functions as an inhouse coordinator
   Plans and implements large departmental moves and relocations (e.g., more than 20 workspaces/staff members) including furniture changes, workstation adjustments and equipment for operational projects
   Develops scope of work based on customer needs consistent with standards and objectives of Texas Children's
   Develops budget utilizing departmental tools for operational projects to assist the customer in identifying and obtaining funding for move logistics, system/space commissioning, furniture/equipment procurement, and deployment, and operational make-ready needs
   Develops positive working relationships with project delivering team members and end-user groups
   Proactively identifies issues and takes appropriate action to achieve resolution

Skills & Requirements
   Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. 
   Required associate degree 
   Required 1 years' experience coordinating projects in the design and/or construction industries and preferred project experience in healthcare
