Supply Chain Production Planner

TheSupply Chain Production Planner schedules projects for manufacture and assigns demand to assigned fabrication plants and reports to the Supply Chain organization. This role is critical to setting up manufacturing facilities to excel at delivering value to our customers as it negotiates and balances capacity utilization against customer project timelines and upstream handoffs.

This will be a hybrid role after training has been completed onsite in Houston (1-2 months).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review data and create reports, analyzing data to create production plans and planning orders that are rolled out to various production facilities
• Review un-scheduled project reporting
• Confirm project is ready for first-pass scheduling
• Compare project demands to network capacity(ies) and apply production, loading, & shipping dates
• Collaborate with Commercial organization on handling exceptions
• Maintain level scheduled production volumes within planning horizon
• Collaborate with other planners to execute cross-network supply and balance LT

• HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or operations management preferred
• 3+ years of hands on experience in production scheduling, production planning, and/or master scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Team-orientated contributor; seamlessly support individual and team objectives
• Ability to establish priority amongst multiple demands to ensure the ‘right work’ is being executed
• Strong technical acumen with MS Office Suite (advanced Excel), and experience with Oracle and dashboards such as Power BI and/or Visio is highly desired
• Strong communication skills to support effective relationships within planning and Supply Chain, upstream with commercial, and downstream with manufacturing
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects accordingly and pivot gracefully as business needs change
• Exposure to Kaizen / continuous improvement highly preferable
• Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Data Analytics Mindset
• Willingness to spend time on shop floor to understand how work flows through the plants and impact to cycle times
• Willingness to travel 1-2 times a year to other facilities for support and training

The US base hourly rate for this full-time position is $32.00 - $34.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day one + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
