Job Summary/Overview:
The Logistics Ops-Shipping Lead will oversee operations at the ground level, serving as the supervisor's eyes on the floor ensuring that the workspace is clean, orderly, and safe. This person will have extensive knowledge of department processes and be familiar with leading procedures to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. This role will have a specific focus on the logistical movement of finished goods, equipment and reticles and ensure SAP and other SAS systems accurately reflect material status to sustain production in a foundry fabrication operation.
Specific Job Duties:
Excellent understanding of supply chain management principles and ability to apply statistical and qualitative methods to optimize TAT in support of foundry operations. Establishes metrics and KPIs to monitor success.
Monitor Shipping operations in real time under the guidance of the Supervisor while acting as an early alert system when wafer shipping plans are at risk of not meeting customer expectations.
As an operations subject matter expert identify areas of weakness in the shipping team and proactively call out areas of non-compliance to standard operating procedures.
Ensure operation resources (materials, equipment and workforce) are available and allocated as planned for smooth operations. Plan staffing and equipment needs in advance as to not allow operations to fall short of daily or long term goals.
Support continuous improvement goals in safety, people, quality, and delivery by evaluating team, processes, and equipment. Lead the team to complete daily checklists and accomplish its daily operational goals.
Coordinate and schedule finished goods shipments to support Global Operations Center demand. Remain synchronized with end users' requirements.
Act quickly when disruption in shipments is possible; liaison between Manufacturing, Global Operations and Logistics Service Provider.
Monitor delivery to receipt with end user.
Coordinate driver operations as needed.
Provide field safety oversight of all loading docks owned by the Logistics department.
Perform frequent safety inspections and procedural audits on safe work practices in the field and have the skills, knowledge and ability to take immediate corrective action if required.
Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies, Local, State and Federal health and safety regulations.
Lead and document accident/incident investigations on the docks to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures.
Self-driven project management and ability to identify and address various process gaps
Develop projects to refine and make lean systems and processes for shipping and receiving operations. Execute projects to specified timelines.
Recommend systems and dashboard enhancement to quicker identify issues.
Submit reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Shift: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:
Minimum of 3 years in Supply Chain and/or Material Management
1 or more years experience in international shipping and customs clearance a plus
DOT, IATA, IMDG Hazmat shipping certification a plus
Military service and education in similar field may substitute for education and work experience requirements
Associate's or Bachelors degree
