As the Shipping Lead you will help oversee a team that is responsible for accurately picking, packing and shipping all orders for the warehouse, which is located just north of the DFW airport.
The Details
- Start Date: March 18th, 2024
- Shift: Monday – Friday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm with ability to flex +/- an hour
- Starting Base Pay: $18.00 per hourplus potential of up to $9 pay band based on performance
What You'll Do
- Ensure that all packages are shipped as quickly and accurately as possible and to check packages for quality and accuracy
- Print and distribute orders for shipping
- Perform all end-of-day responsibilities, ensuring all shipping manifests, reports, and clean up performed.
- Monitor and inventory shipping consumable supplies and order when necessary
- Develop and train new associates and coach to improve performance
- Maintain machinery used in the shipping department understanding basic operation, fault recovery and care
- Update department performance metrics and communicate performance to associates
- Become an expert at all processes shipping associates perform.
- Provide necessary coaching and share coaching with reporting manager.
- Be willing to be certified to use a forklift for storing and moving product
- Assist in own and other departments when necessary
- 30% of your time will be spent performing the duties above, while 70% of the time you will be picking and verifying orders
