Job description:
ORION Ambulance Services, LLC, is seeking a Telecommunicator and Logistics Team Lead responsible for supporting the Communications department in providing unparalleled service to our clients through professional, friendly, and accurate phone interactions and arranging of non-emergency ambulance transports. This position will report directly to the Department Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a part of a 24/7 operation
- Responsible for daily operations of the department through the assistance of a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and a multi-telephone line system
- Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
- Build relationships with field staff members to build and enhance operations
- Provides proactive resolution to risks or issues with service
- Ensure achievement of critical KPIs essential for healthy operations, e.g., On-Time Performance, Response Time, Margin, etc
- Certain solutions may require analyzing complex issues, understanding the end goal, and developing a plan to meet that goal
- Build a relationship of trust and respect within the team by listening to their concerns and understanding their needs
- Motivate the team to the successful accomplishment of goals through celebrated wins, empowerment, accountability, and positive reinforcements
- Scope and manage a portfolio of continuous improvement projects
- Lead by example
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Customer-first mindset
- Required: 5+ years in customer service and logistics industry
- Required: Minimum of 1 year experience in EMS/Transportation
- Required: Prior leadership experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to persuade and lead
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to think independently, to find creative solutions
- Availability to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- General geographic knowledge of Houston and surrounding counties

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
