Job description:

ORION Ambulance Services, LLC, is seeking a Telecommunicator and Logistics Team Lead responsible for supporting the Communications department in providing unparalleled service to our clients through professional, friendly, and accurate phone interactions and arranging of non-emergency ambulance transports. This position will report directly to the Department Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a part of a 24/7 operation
• Responsible for daily operations of the department through the assistance of a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and a multi-telephone line system
• Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
• Build relationships with field staff members to build and enhance operations
• Provides proactive resolution to risks or issues with service
• Ensure achievement of critical KPIs essential for healthy operations, e.g., On-Time Performance, Response Time, Margin, etc
• Certain solutions may require analyzing complex issues, understanding the end goal, and developing a plan to meet that goal
• Build a relationship of trust and respect within the team by listening to their concerns and understanding their needs
• Motivate the team to the successful accomplishment of goals through celebrated wins, empowerment, accountability, and positive reinforcements
• Scope and manage a portfolio of continuous improvement projects
• Lead by example
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Customer-first mindset
• Required: 5+ years in customer service and logistics industry
• Required: Minimum of 1 year experience in EMS/Transportation
• Required: Prior leadership experience
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to persuade and lead
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to think independently, to find creative solutions
• Availability to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
• General geographic knowledge of Houston and surrounding counties

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
