Job Summary
Delta Apparel is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its growing team in Fayetteville, NC. The ideal candidate will provide support for and assist the Logistics issues or complaints.
Essential Job Functions
- Primary contact for FunTees Operations team regarding status of receiving inbound containers and shipping of all outbound orders (We do not allow customers to contact the DC directly)
- Confirming Container receiving schedule sent by Director of Operations (Laura) weekly
- Ensuring that manifests are posted in S-21 – working with IT to resolve any issues
- Printing pull sheets for pickers and prioritizing orders for pulling based on requested ship date
- Ensuring the warehouse staff follow any special requirements regarding how orders should be prepared for shipment (such as pallet height max, sorting, SO’s kept on separate pallets, adding additional shipping labels, etc) based on customer requirements sheet
- For orders that are customer routed – sending dims to Ops team once orders are pulled when requested
- For orders where Delta Pays freight – sending dims for shipment to Logistics Team to schedule truck for pick-up
- Receiving BOL’s from Ops Team and Logistic team via e-mail, printing and matching up with correct loads pending pick-up
- Ensure all BOL’s are signed and dated when truck leaves
- Send copy of packing lists and signed BOL’s/tracking numbers to Ops Team by end of day of shipment so that they can forward to the customer
- Advise Ops team of carrier “no shows” or any other reason a shipment does not leave on date planned so they can advise customer of delay

Experience: 2 years related experience required.
Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Industry specific certification or license: Technical certificate in a related field preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility
- Manages the daily workflow of the shipping department.
- Routes all Truck, LTL load & all international shipping paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
