We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator, a talented team player with excellent communication skills who wants to grow. This is a key leadership role responsible for freight logistics, while ensuring products are cost effectively shipped on time to the satisfaction of the customer. The facility and the services provided in it – receiving, storing, and shipping.
Responsibility:
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Working with our international freight vendors to secure shipping rates and manage costs incurred.
- Accurately forecasting container arrival dates and outgoing shipment dates
- Negotiate and build strong relationships with vendors
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Managing, Tracking, and Accurately providing distribution of shipment
- Proactively coordinating incoming container shipments and customer shipments.
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Logistics Experience
- Good knowledge of shipping/receiving, general cargo and other industry related information
- Knowledge of transport documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both customers and internal personnel
- High level of organization required.
- ERP experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
