Logistics Clerk

The Logistics Clerk carries out all check-in & check-out activities such as responding to delivery appointment inquiries, verifying driver paperwork to IGD paperwork, and maintaining yard management systems. Other responsibilities include answering/routing telephone calls, communicating with the warehouse as well as other departments regarding driver arrivals, inbound appointments, scheduling and other clerical duties as directed by Customer Service Supervisor or Office Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Interacts in a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning delivery appointments, outbound shipments, and trailer status. in a courteous and effective manner
• Maintains Daily Schedule of all Outbound Small Parcel, LTL, FTL, and Inbound Schedule
• Emails in LTL Daily based on warehouse shipping capacity.
• Maintains Daily Yard Checks, and accurate update of Yard Management System to partners.
• Verifies All Driver Inbound and Outbound paperwork ensuring we are receiving proper documentation that matches IGDs internal documents.
• Communicates customer feedback to management including any signs of dissatisfaction
• Acts as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of Shipping/Receiving.
• Oversees all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files
• Other Related Responsibilities include Routing Major Retailers such as Target and Walmart
• Build orders for Target based on Ship Date, and sends orders to warehouse for outbound shipping.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent required
• Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications
• Basic typing skills
• Familiarity with 10-key
• Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Other

• Must be able to work in varying facility conditions.
• Ability and availability to work overtime as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
