JOB TITLE: Logistics Assistant - Aerospace
LOCATION: Kansas City, MO
PAY RATE: $17.00 per hour.

Summary:
Storeroom Clerk:
Assists with daily Picklist-Pull Inventory and staging for production.
Assists with issuing kits, parts and tools from counter or to production floor.
Assists with building kits or consolidating parts for production.
Assists with daily transfers of parts from internal job to job for the shop support.
Assists with restocking of pre-pick bins on the hangar floor.
Assists with retrieving off-units from production, inspects, and routes to the Warehouse.
Assists with receipt of incoming Outside Service parts, Work Order and paperwork.
Assist with returns of parts and tools at counter.
Assists with daily inventory cycle counts for accuracy.
Assists with inspection of flammable cabinets and partial racks for expired shelf-life items.
Assists with performing of stores and warehouse internal audits in preparation for live audits.
Assists with putting away recapped BFG parts and material.
Assists with putting away BFG New Receipt inventory.
Assist with harness inspections and processing requests for production.
Assists with monitoring of email requests from internal production and support departments.
Assists with daily questions from production about parts and tooling.
Maintains a safe working environment by keeping area clean and removing any physical hazards.
Warehouse HPD Clerk:
Assists with daily Picklist-Pull Inventory and staging for production.
Assists with building kits or consolidating parts for production.
Assists with Daily Inventory Cycle Counts for accuracy.
Assists with transporting inventory every 2 hours to other buildings.
Assists with transporting inventory as required by immediate request from production.
Assists with stores and warehouse internal audits in preparation for live audits.
Assists Shipping with preparation of shipments, including packing, boxing and crating.
Assists with transfers and putting away stock from Receiving.
Travels to other buildings to assist with putting sheet stock away or unloading large items.
Assists with unloading of trucks as needed to assist Receiving.
Assists with daily questions from production about parts and tooling.
Assists with monitoring of email requests from internal production and support departments.
Maintains a safe working environment by keeping area clean and removing any physical hazards.
May operate light passenger vehicles, vans, pickup trucks, etc. to transport passengers, materials, or equipment in an industrial area, either inside or outside the local area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Minimum of one (1) year of inventory handling and control or warehouse operation experience, including operation of trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Forklift certification required (must obtain certification within 60 days of hire).
49CFR and IATA dangerous goods training (compliant to requirements within 30 days of hire).
Valid state driver's license may be required.

Ability to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
Ability to use sheet metal shear, band saws, skill saws, hot knives, vises, and other common tools to create tooling containers and shipping crates.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other various material handling equipment to move, stage, and deliver parts, tools, and raw stock materials.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.
The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
