A role in Inbound Scheduling, Domestic First Mile Transportation within Global Transportation and Logistics means you'll focus on the efficient scheduling of all inbound products into Target's Network. By managing complex processes and cross-team relationships, you'll work to ensure we meet our guests' demand.
The Logistics Analyst plays a critical role on the team and is responsible for the execution and problem solving all first mile appointments in Target's network. You'll identify opportunities for efficiency and contribute to a strong culture of excellence by addressing performance defects discovered through data analysis and ensuring that clear expectations are set and met. There will be daily problem solving with internal and external parties to ensure freight is scheduled on time. In addition, you will work cross functionally across first mile, middle mile transportation teams, and field partners to collaborate on scheduling each building as efficiently as possible.
About You:
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience within supply chain sourcing/procurement, logistics, transportation industry
- Ability to sort through data to identify root cause and leverage for problem solving
- Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative; demonstrates ability to work independently
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to plan, manage, and prioritize time/tasks effectively.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate data insights to others
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
