Job Summary:

Apparel company is looking for an ocean and air shipping Logistic Assistant that will handle customer service and operations for all import or export freight.

The Logistic Assistant is responsible for tracking the freight movement, and maintaining relationships with carriers, forwarders, customers, custom brokers and warehouse to guarantee the timely delivery of shipments. This assistant will also help with some human resources and Office administration work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review and process shipping documentation from overseas agents/customers

2. Liaise with overseas for ensuring ISF compliance

3. Enter accurate and timely data entry into our system and update shipment status

4. Effectively communicate with warehouse, truckers, forwarders, customers and co-workers through high volume e-mails phone calls and verbal contact to ensure shipment is delivered to destination.

5. Follow through with the shipment process, custom clearance, cargo availability, and notify customers of any changes or delays.

6. Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations

7.Perform any other related tasks as required or assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 1+ years of freight forwarding experience is preferred, but any full time job experience will do.

2. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and at a fast-paced environment

3. Knowledge of HTS, customs regulations and other government requirements preferred.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.

5. Must be bilingual in Chinese preferably Mandarin and English.

6. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
