PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor in a meat processing plant is responsible for the end to end production process for specific production lines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct Supervision of 30-50 hourly employees
• Ensures line set ups are ready for production (X-Ray systems, date coders, case coders, etc.)
• Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple lines.
• Coordinate production ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.
• Meet the productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental and morale goals established for the site.
• Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record.
• Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
• Follow all federal, state and local HACCP, OSHA & GMP guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with coaching, mentoring, leading, developing, training and disciplining employees as needed
• Willing to work early and late hours, up to 12 hours shifts and Saturdays
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
• Must be able to freely walk in all departments, bend, squad, walk the stairs
• Must be able to work in 35F environment or lower
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
