Job Summary:
The Loan Servicing Specialist performs a variety of Loan Servicing functions and has a broad knowledge of all aspects of the loan administration area. Some of the primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, escrow servicing, transaction processing, HMDA review, processing non-posted transactions, balancing general ledger accounts, participation loan settlement, and document review.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the escrow set up review in the servicing system related to new loans and loan modifications
- Process escrow disbursements for payment, advances, and payoff transactions
- Review escrow analysis for accuracy and handle account file maintenance.
- Review and verify all system changes related to loan modifications, renewals, and skip pays
- Review deeds of release for accuracy and completeness
- Order secondary market 1098's
- Review both originated and non-originated loans for HMDA reporting
- Process and review non-posted loan transactions
- Balance various general ledgers loan related accounts
- Process and remit participation loan settlements
- Responsible for scanning and verifying loan documents in the imaging system
- Meet all deadlines of any assigned training
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- College degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred
- Prefer 3-5 years of previous banking, title company or legal experience, and/or loan operations experience preferred
- Years of experience maybe substituted for education requirements or related work experience
- This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This included computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office equipment with an emphasis on spreadsheets (Excel)
