Load Planner (1Am Start Time)

Essential Job Functions: Load Planner/Router

• Daily accounting of all assigned freight & responsible for timely routing of daily outgoing freight.
• Coordinate between warehouse team and drivers to ensure proper direction and coordination of freight onto trailers each morning.
• Communicate to drivers any necessary information about the freight on their truck; hazmat freight, weight, load capacity, etc.
• Occasional use of freight handling equipment including forklifts, skids, etc. to assist staging materials and work closely with warehouse team to load trucks on time each morning.
• Verify freight against shipping documents and authorizations.
• Verify incoming freight delivery orders with their packing slips, bills of lading, etc.
• Document OS&D.
• Reinforce safety training and safe work practices; participate in safety meetings.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with a 1am start time, 10 hour average day, but must be available up to 12 hours.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1 year of inventory, warehouse, and receiving experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and oral) necessary to coordinate activities among various parties.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adapt and respond to different types of situations and personalities.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform certain duties.
• Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
• Ability to lift 25-35lbs. regularly and up to 55 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment - cold in winter months and hot in the summer months. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
