We’re seeking a qualified applicant to join our growing litigation team in the role of Litigation Paralegal. You’ll be working closely with experienced, compassionate attorneys in a role that offers numerous growth and mentorship opportunities.
Responsibilities to include:
- Drafting legal documents (pleadings, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pre-trial orders, legal briefs, discovery requests, and affidavits under the guidance of the attorney
- Filing litigation documents (E-file)
- Working closely with the attorney to prepare files for trial by conducting legal research, preparing and organizing exhibits, filing motions, and organizing and coordinating with clients/witnesses/experts
- Communicating via phone & e-mail with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and other court personnel
- Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts & documents
- Manage, organize, and update client files to include medical records, bills and liens
- Maintaining and managing deadlines, court appearances, and scheduling
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Litigation Paralegal experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, discovery and trial prep
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, PDF Viewers (AdobePro, Nuance, etc.), and case management systems
- Proficiency with the Florida E-Filing portals & procedures
- Clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize
- Organize and able to work independently
- A knowledge of Florida Civil Rules and Procedures.
Pay to commensurate with experience
