Litigation Paralegal

JOB DESCRIPTION: CIVIL LITIGATION PARALEGAL

“AV” rated law firm in Houston’s Galleria area seeks an experienced paralegal to join our insurance defense litigation team! The paralegal will manage e-discovery and assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation.

Ability to work well with a team is a must for this position. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a professional demeanor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Assist attorneys with preparing pleadings and discovery.

· Prepare document production, redaction, and Bates labeling, and maintain Production Logs.

· Analyze, review, and organize materials produced during discovery.

· Assist attorneys with trial and mediation preparation.

· Order medical records and maintain Record Log.

· Retain experts, provide case material for review, provide deadlines, and maintain Expert Log

· Track and log billable hours

Qualifications:

· 2+ years civil paralegal experience; insurance defense, a plus.

· Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.

· Strong knowledge of legal terminology and Texas procedures.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
