The role you’ll contribute:
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Leads and organizes team in restocking and transporting clean linen carts.
- Inventories completed carts and develops linen orders for the next day. Reports any shortage of linen to supervisor.
- Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas and/or campuses.
- Removes all foreign items and linen from cart that is in unacceptable condition, such as torn, unfolded, or soiled. Checks for and changes rejected linen bag and soiled linen bags box. Straightens remaining linen in preparation for restocking of linen.
- Polices work area: picks up strings and dropped linen and places in proper containers, stacks empty trays in proper area. Assesses areas of assignment and makes suggestions for improvement.
What You Will Need:
- 1 year of laundry or logistics experience
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand instructions given in English
- Ability to count quickly and accurately
Job Summary:
The Linen Service Specialist Team Leader leads and organizes the team in restocking, inspecting and transporting clean linen carts throughout AdventHealth facilities on a daily basis. Carts are loaded to a preset par level and delivered to their respective units in an organized, time-sensitive manner. The Team Leader inventories all carts completed and develops the linen order for the next day.
