The LPN - Health Services Technician's primary responsibility is to review immunization status for all students. This includes maintaining immunization tracking for health science students on the HSC Campus, Main Campus, and Podiatry School. Additionally, the LPN - Health Services Technician provides direct patient care by rooming, assisting providers, point-of-care testing. In addition, they will be administering vaccinations, and specified medication either orally, or by intradermal, subcutaneous or intermuscular injections. Venipuncture for blood draws and processing of labs. Proper documentation is an essential function of the position. Work is rendered primarily at Main Campus Student Health Services. However, will also be required to assist with planning and implementation of health screening clinics on the Health Sciences Campus. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
High School graduate. Successful completion of LPN license program and active LPN License required 2-3 years related experience in a physician's office preferably university Student Health, family practice or emergency medicine preferred. Experience with medical record data entry.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong instructional, communication skills and flexibility.
Demonstrates competence with management of clinical assessments and follow through.
Participates in staff meetings, quality improvement projects and committees as appropriate.
Consults when appropriate with other clinical staff.
Provides health education to student patients. Other duties as assigned.

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
