Behavioral Health Technician

Pennsylvania Autism Services, LLC is currently seeking 1 Part-time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)(20 hours a week) to work in the school setting(headstart program) with a 5-year-old. Please only apply if you are looking for 20 hours a week of work in the school setting. Requirements prior to interviewing include: 40-hour online training covering the RBT task list to be emailed with the application in order to be considered for the position, the Mandated Reporter training, FBI, Child Abuse, and criminal clearances will need to be submitted the day prior to the Zoom interview. We are looking to fill this position within 7 days.

Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides specialized behavioral services directed by a detailed treatment plan and under the direction of a LBS/BCBA, who is responsible for the treatment plan.

Summary of Essential Position Functions:

• Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to client
• Assist parent/caregiver and/or teacher with implementation of behavior plan
• Monitor client’s behaviors emphasized in the treatment plan; intervene and redirect challenging behaviors
• Collaborate with team members and must work in context of transferring skills to others
• Attend weekly supervision
• Complete all paperwork within policy time frames
• Training will be provided (40-hour training covering the RBT Task List will be provided online)

Qualifications:

• This position requires individuals with great interpersonal and communication skills, problem- solving skills, organizational skills, and team oriented.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Behavioral Technician Certification or the ability to acquire certification within 30 days of job offer date.

Education:

• Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40- hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.
