Principal Duties:
Develops and manage programs aimed at assisting specific demographics or communities, with an emphasis on programs designed to assist youth, juveniles, and individuals under the age of 21 who have intersected with the criminal justice system and the Utah Department of Public Safety.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams within the department and external partners to develop and implement comprehensive strategies that affect law enforcement and society at large, to enhance overall safety and security for all persons in Utah.
Designs and implement educational initiatives to raise awareness and promote social change on important topics, such as criminal justice reform, threat management, community engagement, illegal drug and alcohol abuse, and statewide policy that affects law enforcement and the communities it seeks to serve.
Investigates social issues impacting Utah communities through research, community outreach, and data collection methods
Supervise clinical staff.
- Has a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Holds a License as a Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
- Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in macro social work, program development, or related fields.
- Has a strong understanding of social issues in the criminal justice system, law enforcement communities, and how to assist large populations, with a strong understanding of programs designed to assist juveniles and individuals under age 21 who have intersected with the criminal justice system.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and manage programs to address community needs effectively.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Has experience working with government agencies, nonprofits, or community organizations is preferred.
- A thorough Level II background investigation is part of the selection process for this position. This includes check for criminal activity and illegal drug use and detailed employment, reference, credit, and education checks.

- Associate Licensed Clinical Therapist ($25.67 to $38.31)- Clinical Social Worker or Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
