Responsibilities

Nintendo is seeking 2 mid-level to senior level Full Stack engineers to support building out Nintendo's event portal to enable it's audiences to attend both virtual and in-person Nintendo events. This event portal will allow guests to register for various events to assist with crowd control, registrations, marketing campaigns, and load management for various events. This is a global application that is used by Nintendo's community all over the world, they've used it for Nintendo Live in Seattle, WA all the way to individual game releases like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

There are two applications that currently support this event registration portal. One is a web application with a front end in React, the other is a iOS application written in React Native. We're looking for a full-stack engineer to support the backend API development (Python and SQLAlchemy) and front end development with React/React Native.

○ Two types of FE apps

§ One is website with typescript React framework

§ Other is iOS application with React Native

• Enhance functionality of event management and registration application

○ Has a external customer facing piece where they register for any events they can sign up.

• Nintendo's new store to handle game launch events and large events where they need to que people in for crowd control and register for the events.

• 12 month duration

• Fault tolerance

• Architecture is serverless.

○ BE work is to developing APIs and to create scalable solutions

○ Writing optimized queries and debug query performance issues

Write new data elements and types and building APIs on top of them.
