Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for an Eating DisordersFamily Therapist.
Hours: FT or PT
Location: Layton
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to adequately identify and treat a variety of Eating Disorder diagnoses and mental health co-morbidities.
- Ability to follow professional code of conduct and provide ethical, individualized, patient-centric care.
- Ability to work cohesively as a member of a multidisciplinary team with effective communication skills.
- Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic treatment on a long-term outpatient basis, both individually and in-group settings.
Education: Graduate level licensed mental health professionals (CMHC, LCSW, CSW, LPC, LMFT, MFT) with preference toward those who obtained their degree from a CACREP accredited institution. Will also consider associate licensed therapists with strong interest in working with this patient population. Applicants are expected to use evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, family-based therapy, emotion-focused therapy, or other forms of psychotherapy.
Experience: Applicants are, at a minimum, willing to undergo recommended additional trainings specific to best practices in Eating Disorder treatment and supervision from in-house clinician. Preference granted to applicants who are already qualified to treat those struggling with an Eating Disorder and co-occurring disorders in individual and group therapy, as demonstrated by prior experience working in an Eating Disorder specific treatment center, evidence of attending multiple Eating Disorder treatment continuing education events, and/or seeking supervision with a community Eating Disorder specialist (S-CEDS).
Work Environment: Work Environment: Office based work environment within a medical clinic with prolonged sitting and electronic device use, such as computers and telephones. Ability to adapt and learn computer-based software for medical record navigation, documentation purposes, and interdisciplinary referral systems and communication.
