Job Announcement
The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Library Technology Assistant (Part-Time, Non-Benefited). This position is ongoing part-time temporary up to 19 hours per week includes assisting in the Book and Board Library Lounge. The Downtown Library hours are: Monday-Wednesday 9am-8pm, Thursday-Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 1pm-5pm. The schedule for this position would include nights and weekends.

Library
Chandler Public Library inspires intellectual discovery, creative entertainment, and life-long learning through robust information resources that connect communities to a world of knowledge and new ideas. As a system of four libraries in all geographic areas of the community, and a collection of nearly 500,000 books, DVDs, and a wide variety of digital resources, we bring people, information, and ideas together to read, learn, connect, and succeed. Our libraries continuously reflect on the current and emerging needs of patrons and choose to advance literacy and champion inclusive learning experience for all people by fostering accessibility and embracing new technology.
Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with recent customer service experience and a familiarity with the Internet including computer programs, databases and email.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Some high school and customer service experience involving frequent public contact including basic computer skills; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet, office equipment including copiers, printers, and fax machines.
