Under the supervision of the Project Director, the Library Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and administering grant activities and conducting outreach to target population. This position will work with project staff to ensure activities are completed in a timely manner. This person will be responsible for working with other Tribal departments and project partners and consultants. The Coordinator will also support data collection, tracking, and reporting.
- Analyze program plans and administers program objectives and activities
- Identify, acquire and catalog culturally appropriate materials
- Coordinate literacy and reading club activities
- Coordinates and conduct program outreach and marketing
- Attend literacy skills and library training
Requirements
- Skill and comfort in communication orally and in writing with groups of all sizes, in person as well as through electronic media
- 4 years library or relevant experience with increased responsibilities or BA degree in a related field such as library education, counseling and Native American studies, or other related fields
- Proven ability to plan and organize workload including timely documentation of activities. This includes prompt and timely reports to the supervisor of activities and findings in the field and with students and organizations
