Library Assistant

```Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Library Assistant. As a Library Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent service to library patrons and assisting with various library functions. If you have a passion for books, enjoy working with elementary aged students, and possess strong organizational skills, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:

- Assist patrons with locating books, resources, and information

- Provide guidance on library policies and procedures

- Catalog new materials and maintain the library's cataloging system

- Conduct data entry tasks to ensure accurate record keeping

- Process book check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently

- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library space

Requirements:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in software troubleshooting

- Customer service experience with a friendly and helpful demeanor

- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

- Ability to accurately type and perform data entry tasks

- Familiarity with cataloging systems and practices is a plus

- Knowledge of library resources and services is preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.60 - $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 29 per week
