- Performs complicated bibliographic searching and revision for ordering, cataloging or interlibrary loan.
- Processes orders and cancellations.
- Verifies and processes titles received as soon as possible.
- Performs complex searches using library databases.
- Helps identify best resources for patron’s research.
- Assists in the collection of data and preparation of materials for periodic reports.
- Verifies titles, title changes and prices.
- Processes and pays invoices.
- Sets up and maintains vendor records and purchase orders.
- Solves difficult periodicals and acquisitions problems.
- Inputs data into databases and spreadsheets.
- Maintains close working relationship with purchasing and accounts payable departments.
- May perform independent reference work including complex database searches.
- Monitors expenditure levels in materials accounts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Two (2) years of library experience, or
- No previous work experience with Associate’s degree / 60 hours college credit.
