Library Assistant

We are seeking a Library Assistant to join our Circulation team in Columbia!

Schedule (this is a year round position):

Part-time (12 hours per week) Wednesday 8-12, Thursday 8-12, and every other Saturday 8-5.

Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Check materials in and out
• Assist public in obtaining library cards
• Respond to directional questions from patrons
• Operate a cash register

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer some college coursework and one year work experience
• Experience using computers, cash registers, and work that requires meeting with the public and providing customer service strongly preferred.

Salary: $15.00 per hour
