Library Acquisition Collections Tech Services
Job Description
This position is part of the Monograph and Serials Acquisitions Team. Position reports to the Head of Acquisitions. Work includes receiving new materials and processing invoices using the Library Information Management System (FOLIO). The position will also assist in processing incoming book donations. Work may also include stacks management tasks such as pulling, boxing, tubbing, sorting, shifting books, and catalog maintenance.
Shift
Typically Mon-Fri between 9am-5pm, to be determined
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrate pleasant and professional demeanor. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous fiscal experience.
- Ability to successfully perform detailed work and effective organization, time management, and prioritizing skills. Strong sense of organization and attention to detail.
- Previous library experience is desirable.
- Experience shelving Library of Congress call numbers is desirable
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $12.85 per hour
Grade: GGS-005
