Level I Operations Specialist
Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and cleaning used commercial washers and dryers and preparing them for delivery. As well as assisting with equipment inventory, warehouse organization and the preparation of washers, dryers, and payment technology for installation. Moreover, the Level I Operations Specialist will collaborate with a Service Technician and Collector periodically to acquire fundamental knowledge of both roles. The ideal candidate is someone who finds satisfaction in hands-on work, enjoys working in a team dynamic to achieve a common goal, and is enthusiastic about acquiring repair and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing, Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial washers, dryers returned to the warehouse. Ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Bring the appliances back and ready to return to duty!
- Machine Preparation: Prepare machines and payment kiosks for installation. This includes unboxing machines, connecting payment technology, cleaning, and testing machines, gathering installation materials (venting, clamps, hoses, etc.), and supporting materials such as signage. Your work is significant to creating a great first impression for the customer!
- Warehouse: Responsible for receiving and unloading vendor shipments (appliances, parts, and materials), managing warehouse transfers, and scraping unsalvageable appliances, parts, and materials. Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse. Treat it like it was your warehouse!
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and appliances. Ensure personal safety and safety procedures are followed while working in the warehouse. Your wellbeing is important!
- Technology and Mobile Technology: Use configuration and monitoring tools to set up or reprogram machines to connect to a payment kiosk. As well as using a smartphone or tablet to access these tools, and other applications used throughout the workday. Technology is becoming more and more prevalent in the commercial laundry business!
- Service & Collections Departments: Accompany an experienced Service technician Collector, learning the fundamentals of repairing machines. Learn and support all operations!
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

What We are Looking For:
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and clients effectively.
- Strong mechanical aptitude: professional experience with mechanical repair/maintenance is preferred.
- Pass pre-employment screenings.
- Must have a clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Ability to walk flights of stairs, and to lift, push, and pull machines weighing up to 250 lbs. with proper equipment.
- Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling, and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding, and maneuvering tools or service parts.
- Ability to maneuver a washer or dryer while properly secured to a hand truck.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
